There was a hen. She had two chicks, Lalu and Peelu. Lalu was red. He loved red things. Peelu was yellow. He loved yellow things.
एक मुर्गी थी। उसके दो चूजे थे- लालू और पीलू। लालू लाल रंग का था। उसे लाल चीजें पसंद थीं। पीलू का रंग पीला था। उसे पीली चीजें पसंद थीं।

One day Lalu saw something on a plant. It was red. He ate it up. Oh, no! It was a red chilli. It was very hot. Lalu’s mouth started burning. He screamed.
एक दिन लालू ने एक पौधे पर कोई चीज देखी। वह लाल रंग की थी। उसने उसे खा लिया। वह एक लाल मिर्च थी। वह बहुत गरम थी। लालू का मुँह जलने लगा। वह चीखने लगा।

Mother Hen came running. Peelu came, too. Peelu said, “I’ll get something for you!” Peelu brought a yellow laddu.
मादा मुर्गी भागती हुई आई। पीलू भी आया। पीलू ने कहा-” मैं तुम्हारे लिए कुछ लाऊँगा।” पीलू एक पीला लड्डू लेकर आया।

Lalu gobbled up the laddu. His mouth stopped burning. Mother Hen and Lalu kissed Peelu.
लालू ने लड्डू निगल लिया। उसके मुँह की जलन कम हो गई। मादा मुर्गी और लालू ने पीलू को चूम लिया।
